PRODUCTION OF PRE-SERIESSAMPLES
Pre-series production of metal parts and finished products
PRITZ DEVELOPMENT manufactures pre-series units of products based on customer documentation
before launching series production.
A pre-series batch allows the product design, manufacturing process, assembly quality and
compliance with customer requirements to be verified before moving to regular production.
Why a pre-series batch is needed
Pre-series production of metal products allows the product to be tested directly under conditions similar to those of series production. A pilot batch enables the production process to be evaluated and verifies whether successive operations deliver the required product parameters.
At this stage, the following can be assessed:
- compliance of the design with the technical documentation;
- manufacturability;
- dimensional and geometric stability;
- bending and welding quality;
- surface and coating quality;
- the sequence of assembly operations;
- product completeness;
- the packaging process;
- repeatability in the manufacture of individual products within the batch.
The verification results are used to complete the preparation of the product for series production. If necessary, process optimization includes adjustments to parameters, the sequence of operations or the assembly method, as agreed with the customer.
From documentation to a pre-series batch
Work begins with receipt of the customer’s technical documentation.
The following may be used for quotation and production preparation:
- 2D technical drawings;
- 3D models;
- CAD files;
- specifications;
- technical requirements;
- bills of materials;
- assembly drawings;
- surface treatment requirements;
- inspection and packaging requirements.
The documentation is analyzed for design manufacturability and the feasibility of manufacturing and subsequent series production.
Manufacturing process planning
Before manufacturing the pre-series batch, we determine the optimal manufacturing process sequence. The selection of manufacturing methods takes into account the material, part geometry, dimensional tolerances and quality requirements.
Depending on the product design, production may include:
Laser cutting → CNC punching → CNC bending → Stamping → Welding → Powder coating → Assembly → Inspection → Packaging
PRITZ DEVELOPMENT has the technical infrastructure, necessary equipment and qualified sheet metal processing specialists to perform several production operations within a single order.
Production of a pre-series batch
Once the manufacturing process has been agreed upon, the specified number of products is manufactured for verification.
Trial production of metal parts allows the first manufactured unit and process repeatability across the entire batch to be assessed.
The following are inspected:
Geometry
Dimensional and geometric inspection includes verification of dimensions, bending angles and the
positions of holes and other structural features. We compare the results against the documentation
and agreed tolerances.
Manufacturing quality
The results of cutting, punching, bending, stamping and welding.
Surface
We check the quality of the surface and powder coating, the absence of damage and compliance with
the agreed requirements.
Assembly
We check compliance with the assembly documentation and the correct assembly of components. Completeness
inspection includes verification that all required parts and equipment components are present.
Repeatability
We assess dimensional repeatability and the stability of other product parameters within the pre-series
batch.
Customer approval of the samples is based on inspection results and agreed acceptance criteria.
What products we manufacture
Pre-series batches may include:
- parts for machinery and equipment;
- metal bodies and guards;
- welded assemblies;
- brackets and mounting components;
- furniture components;
- retail fixture components;
- housings for refrigeration and HVAC equipment;
- stainless steel products;
- perforated components;
- special bent parts;
- complete metal products.
Why PRITZ DEVELOPMENT
Production based on customer documentation
We work from drawings, 3D models and technical requirements.
Full metalworking cycle
Cutting, punching, bending, stamping, welding, painting and assembly.
Pre-series batches
Verification of the manufacturing process and product before launching regular production.
CNC production
Automated processes ensure manufacturing repeatability.
Quality control
Product inspection at the main stages of production.
ISO 9001
The quality management system is used to organize production processes.
PRE-SERIES BATCH - STABLE SERIES PRODUCTION
If a product is being prepared for the launch of series production, a pre-series batch allows the manufacturing process to be verified before regular deliveries begin.
Send technical drawings, 3D models or a specification.
We will analyze the documentation, determine the manufacturing process sequence and prepare a quotation for producing the pre-series batch. The batch quotation takes into account the material, number of products, scope of operations and requirements for inspection, assembly and packaging.
